Chef Zhang Wenxue Biography
Chef Zhang Wenxue comes to us from Beijing, a creative City which was home to the fabulous 2008 Summer Olympics. Chef Zhang is a professionally trained chef who graduated from Beijing Tourism College, a renowned culinary training school and graduated with honors which made it possible for him to become head chef at the esteemed Beijing Xin Qiao Hotel. Mr. Zhang had the good fortune to be last student of the famed Mr. Wang Jingbin, noted for his remarkable variations of Lu Cai Cuisine.
The winner of many cooking competitions. Mr. Zhang’s cooking became well known in the Beijing and he was hired to be chief chef at 5 star Wang Fu Hotel where he established a reputation for the many successful banquets he hosted. Mr. Zhang opened his first local restaurant in Boston in 2004 where he prepared crowd pleasing dishes such as Jing Pao Duck, whole fish with chili peppers, Jing Du pork pancake, wok baked beef etc. Please join us at Fuloon to enjoy Mr. Zhang’s delicious creative cooking.
With his outstanding achievement, he was employed by Beijing XinQiao Hotel. During the time he was working in XinQiao, he became the last student of Mr. Wang Jingbin who was the one the top chef who are good at make Lu Cai. Mr. Zhang participated many cooking competitions and his outstanding performance built up his name and reputation in the field. Later in year 1990, he was employed by Beijing WangFu Hotel as chief chef, and hosted many banquets. In 2004, he opened his first own restaurant, FuLoon Restaurant, in Boston. He offered quite few fabulous dishes, such as Jiang Pao Duck, Whole Fish with Chili Pepper, JingDu Pork Pancake, Wok Baked Beef, etc., are well won the recognition by Bostonian.
